The Davis Vantage Pro Plus Weather Station The Model 6160C (cabled) Weather Station, used at this location, is a precision, professional-quality weather station. It and its sister station, the Model 6150 (wireless) and the newer Models 6152 and 6152C, are the preferred stations in use by the majority of Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP) members, many airports, marinas, ships, government agencies, radio and TV stations, and amateur observers around the world. To assure that we are sending accurate data, quality assurance checks are continuously made by NOAA's Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System, known as MADIS. Our station is always well within tolerance. Data Included on the Indianapolis Weather Observations Page: Temperature, Humidity, Dewpoint, Barometric Pressure, Wind Speed and Direction, Peak Wind Gust, Wind Chill, Heat Index,Temperature-Humidity-Wind (THW) Index, Rain Rate per Hour, Rain Totals - per Day, Storm, Month, and Year, Solar Radiation, and Ultra-Violet Radiation Index.
